Self care
Believe it or not but most patients sepnd most of their time looking after themselves and perhaps only spend a couple of hours with a doctor, nurse or other allied health professional learning to manage their illness. In an attempt to help patients by giving them tools to manage their health better, we at Haughton Thornley House Medical Centres have launched a new home page to help you better self care. We are interested in hearing your experience - both what you do and how you feel about the approach we have taken. Do you have any thoughts you would like to share with us?

Change 4 Life
Haughton Thornley Medical Centres is actively supporting the Change 4 Life campaign encouraging patients and the public to EAT WELL, MOVE MORE and LIVE LONGER. Dr Hannan has recorded a video which describes 3 key messages on how you can get the best from the practice and what you can do too. Why don;t you post your thoughts on the campaign and any ideas you may have too that you wish to share with others

What is a blog?

A Blog (short for web log) is an online journal of an individuals opinions and latest news that is updated regularly. Some 'blogs' allow visitors to the site to add comments allowing a free exchange of ideas.

The blog available on the Haughton Thornley site is written and maintained predominantly by Dr Hannan for the benefit of patients of both Haughton Vale and Thornley House and some blog entries will allow visitors to add comments. These comments are moderated (see rules for blogging) but Dr Hannan will be delighted to hear from patients and members of the public.
