Learn about online services
You can book appointments online (currently with nurses for certain types of appointments and also with the phlebotomist if you need some blood tests doing). You can also check when your appointment has been booked for (but please note telephone appointments with doctors are not accurate with regards to the time).
You can also order repeat prescriptions online as well as check how to take your medications, when you last ordered them and information about the medication such as side effects, what they are for etc.
You can send
secure messages to the practice of a non-urgent nature which we can respond to (usually within 2 working days) so that you can contact us from anywhere in the world at a time of your convenience. Yo can learn more about this
here.
You can check your current address is correct as well as update your mobile number and email address and also change your password (for logging in first) and passphrase (2nd password which you use to access your records with).
You can now easily view your full records via a smartphone too! This is particularly handy for you to see your records whilst you are waiting to see the doctor or nurse or if you go to the Out of Hours or A&E or even to outpatients. You never know when you might need this information and who you need to share it with.
If you have forgotten your passwords / PIN NUMBERS then you should be able to reset from the website or app. If you are unable to do this then please pop into the surgery and speak to the receptionist who will be able to reset it for you.
We are keen for you to have an enjoyable online experience alongside the services you receive directly from the surgery itself. You can see screenshots of what the online medical record viewing experience is like and also screenshots of the iPhone / Android app by looking at the slides below. Please remember to maximise the slides so that it is easier to details on the slides.
Please also remember to look at the resources we are offering on the practice website
www.htmc.co.uk that help to further enhance your understanding of your healthcare and what is available for you locally in the practice and surrounding it too.
Please remember to MAXIMISE the slides to see clearly what the screen looks like!
"The new system is not yet complete but we are hoping it will be in the first half of the new year.
The minus at the moment is that to view your medical records it takes you back to the old system which means you have to go back to the old login procedure but that should change soon.
The PLUS is that it is simple to use, view and the 'i' info buttons work.
SECURITY NB - When you sign in and register on the new emis you are given the chance to tick a box for the computer to remember your details. Please don't do this if you share a computer e.g with family members, work, library or community centre"
There will still be moans and groans but everyone will get use to it. Nothing is ever 100% perfect
